If you ever go into one of Taipei’s many municipal sports centres from 8:00 to 10:00 AM or from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, you’ll notice an unusual number of senior citizens. That’s because Taipei City lets its senior citizens use the facilities for free during these hours.

I don’t think I’d ever want to live in a house that didn’t have at least one gecko (壁虎) guarding the premises. I like that they eat mosquitoes and cockroaches, I like their happy little chirps, and they’re cute. What’s not to like?

It’s the perfect opportunity for me to do my “Alien facehugger” impression. 🤣
