#TheOscars are just too niche for general audience folks to care. Used to be such a populist show, now it feels more like an offshoot of Cannes or Sundance. Like Top Gun Maverick not winning best picture was crazy to me….

One reason why I think respectability is stupid is because it's often used as a mask. Such judgements are rarely about the clothes themselves, but more often about the bodies beneath them. To wit, no one raised an issue when Elon wore a graphic t-shirt and ball cap to meet the Trump cabinet.

@kenmartin.bsky.social and @democrats.org should be hosting town halls in all these districts - especially former Dem blue collar strongholds.
NEW — House Republicans are putting the brakes on town halls after blowback over the Trump administration's cuts.

One GOP aide said House Republican leaders are urging lawmakers to stop engaging in them altogether.

Man idk this is well beyond greed, these people simply worship death. They hate healthcare because to them dying is conceptually more pleasing than living. They hate abortion and food stamps because the thought of an immiserated mother and a starving child gets them hard. Because they worship death
House Republicans just voted to gut Medicaid, which covers 1 in 5 Americans overall, including 41% of births and 63% of nursing home care.

They also just voted to gut SNAP, on which 41 million food insecure Americans rely.

This won’t just harm people. This will kill people.

They own this.

1. He's right. It's asymmetric and has huge huge reach.
2. He's admitting Fox's role in the propaganda.
Watters: We are waging a 21st century information warfare campaign from the left…It's like grassroots guerrilla warfare. Someone says something on social media, Musk retweets it, Rogan podcasts it, Fox broadcasts it.. and by the time it reaches everybody, millions of people have seen it.
