Beyond our moral obligations, this is why the right response is to defend those being targeted. Sacrificing trans people won’t shield you, and it will only further degrade your institution’s integrity, even beyond the impact of inevitable budget cuts.

I think it’s crucial, as we all prepare to go to more protests, that we understand what tools law enforcement have and will continue to utilize against protestors exercising their 1st amendment rights. Stingrays are capable of intercepting location, recent calls, & ID.

The state should not have the power to take your life, it should not have the power to take your freedom. Regardless of any individual feelings about the crime or the person who was convicted of it. The barbarity of state violence is not increased or decreased by the method, or the offer of choice.
Don’t know how you feel about Brad Sigmond being executed by firing squad in SC, but the report in THE GUARDIAN kinda glossed over the fact that he beat his gf’s parents to death.

Aside from the obvious direct harm, what's so irritating is that a handful of spoiled ignorant assholes are breaking things that we all built together. They weren't content to own almost everything, they had to wreck what little they didn't own. It's vandalism on a mass scale and has to be punished
