A drawing of neopet versions of WV, Nepeta, and Dave set on the dock of Ye Olde Fishing Vortex. Nepeta is a speckled wocky with a more olive-green coat and the white speckles were changed to lighter versions of the colors of candycorn horns. She proudly holds a Glistening Mechafish with 10000 painted on it. WV is an obsidian darigan gnorbu, with spikes poking through the wrappings here and there he is simply fishing off the side of the dock. Dave, a fire kougra, gives Nepeta a thumbs up from where he fishes, sitting the other side of the dock.

A refsheet for a Splatoon salmonid oc "The Darling Renegade of Unknown Waters" aka Ren. As a former steelhead commander she maintains the typical height and build (and excessive drooling) of that boss type, however her hair is grown out and is purple, and she has a nose ring. Her scales are a a dark cool grey with lighter countershading. She has a scar on her right eye and a number of teeth that stick out even when her mouth is closed. She has a large dark green scrap of cloth wrapped around her neck and draped over her back like a scarf-cape and dull green "pants" with broken suspenders. The bullet points read - Lives in self imposed exile between the mountains and the bay in the outer Splatlands desert. - Former steelhead commander, froze up and fled during a crucial moment, now is burdened with guilt - Often salvages scrap metals in the desert to use for shelter and tools. -Acts cold and standoffish but has a kind and soft heart.

A collection of sketches and notes for a Splatoon OC, a fuzziified inkling named Russell Leveret, 24. He has medium-fair skin and ruddy brown tentacles with deeper red stripes and tips, before being fuzzy both colors were more red and the stripes were spots. He has two tentacles cut at an angle that frame his face and the rest are like a solid mass behind him, slightly longer than shoulder length. He wears sunglasses with the ear rests styled like antlers, lending to a jackalope theme, that hide the typical fuzzy swirly eye style, which were at one point grey. He usually wears loose fitting clothes with cheesy graphics (in this case a UFO abducting a cow-colored sea slug, tan shorts, and black slider sandals) and tends to get warm easily. His ears droop in almost a lop-eared manner, while they were more straight out before he was fuzzy. There are notes explaining that the likes space, aliens, and cryptids. He went to the desert to check out a rumor and came back different. He has a nervous disposition that makes him bad at sports, so his roommate ends up making most of the money. There is a doodled diagram showing that Russell has explained what happened to him to his roommate, but the roommate has secrets of his own he absolutely refuses to tell anyone.

A simple refsheet for Astera, a 29 year old octoling. There is a main image of her in a neutral pose wearing the Annaki bracelet tee and strappy sandals, accompanied by two smaller images. One has her in the splatoon 1 octarian armor and an octobrush, and the other has her with the Annaki beret, yellow cuff sweater, and blobmob sandals while holding a tristringer. She has a relatively pale complexion and a small build. Her tentacles are all in tight curls and her default ink color is a gradient from a warm purple to a cool purple. Her eyes are two-toned with lavender on the top and mint on the bottom. There is a note comparing her eyemask shape to a Digimon with a little doodle of her as a baby digimon. On the rightmost side are a series of notes as well as small doodles of her with various salmonids. The notes are as follows: "Is a clone of a long since passed famous soldier, whose memory is kept alive by multiple generations of clones." " A simple refsheet for a salmonid oc: Dewdrop Dollop, Biggest Little Sibling to Astera, or just Dewdrop for short. There is a front facing view and a side view. He is primarily a ruddy red color with desaturated purple markings, his hair naturally grows in a mohawk shape and is changing from orange to red over time. He has an upright posture and little fin feet. His clothes are rather plain with the exception of a spiked collar and bracelets, but there is a note saying that one is free to come up with other outfits for him. His favorite brands are Annaki and Toni Kensa. A series of notes along the left side are as follows: " Insisted on being given a new name when he was first rescued, since both he and Astera came up with it, it ended up pretty weird by both species’ standards." "He greatly looks up to both his sister and “Uncle” Sterling, the latter being the one who teaches him about salmonid culture (And puberty....)" "Is fluent in Inklish, Octolish, and Salingo. His Inklish is even better than Astera’s since he grew up around it." "He is a kind and well behaved kid, but he's not above embarrassing his sister or pulling pranks on her." "Since salmonids grow into different forms based on where and how they were raised he ended up growing into how he looks now from living with Astera in Splatsville.

Art catchup the misc doodles edition
Two sketches comparing Z-up vs Y-up as a way to represent 3D space. For Z-up the dragon looks into the computer, the axis is inside the screen space as if it is a diorama. A simple reference sheet for a Splatoon fan character: Nova, The Reckless Hearts from Underground, an octoling who lives among salmonids. She has a light complexion, orange eyes, and green tentacles with red accents. She has a fish skeleton shape carved into one tentacle that covers part of her face. She wears a stitched-together jacket over a black crop top, black pants, and extremely tall boots. The jacket has a power egg pattern also stitched on to the back. There are notes about how she is a linguist who used to work for the Octarian Army, uses a frying pan to fight, is very clumsy, and always wears her jacket. There is also a colored drawing of the ship Lithoarga, and drawings of other noteworthy members of its crew and details about their relationship with Nova. There is the captain Ganoine who is a stern battle scarred steelhead that Nova looks up to, the chef Glimmer who is a maws that mothers Nova to what should be an embarrassing amount but she doesn't notice or care, and her best friend and fellow translator Cadence who is a perpetually worried looking cohock and was the one who convinced both the captain and Nova herself to let Nova join them Sketches of a salmonid trading vessel repurposed to antagonize Grizzco. The boat is visually comprised of two stacked dishes, and upside-down cracked dish with a door and some windows, a cup that has a spoon in it, and a flag attached to the spoon. Strange mysterious salmon-sludge pours out the back. There is also a top-down view that shows there is a trap door in the middle. Below it are sketches of Nova being clumsy, one of her in a jar being carried to a very old model respawn machine fashioned after a pressure cooker after a failed jump, and another of the ship's captain holding her up by the back of her jacket saying "If you fall off again I aint savin ya" to which she says "yeah u will." finally is a doodle of the ship next to a grizzco one.

Half of the image are concepts for in-universe lolita patterns for Splatoon and the other half of the image is a simple reference for the "designer" of the patterns. The brand is called Sugarkelp and Rosemallow is the lead designer who is an inkling. The two pattern concepts are "Seaslug Soiree" Which is a pink and purple design of splatoony sea slugs around various confections with a cookie star "night sky" above them. The other design is Undersea Carousel, a very blue design themed after a carousel with fish instead of horses, one of the seats is a starfish that has two well dressed jellyfish riding it. Next to that are a number of facts about Rosemallow which include: She/her pronouns, 32 years old, overworked fashion designer, lives in a studio condo near Inkopolis Square, only good friends can call her "Rosie," doesn't really get inksports, and her brand isn't as popular as she thinks it is... Next is a colored fullbody sketch of Rosemallow wearing the Seaslug Soiree design, with an umbrella in one hand and a bag styled after a star shaped cookie in the other. Two tentacles are styled as squared-off bangs, two tentacles are long and drape to her rear, and the final two tentacles are little nubs at the back of her head. They are a light pink that changes into dark pink with a bubble pattern near the bottom and her ink is very glittery. Her digits are tinted her ink color at the tips. Her eyes are dark purple. A simple reference for a Splatoon salmonid OC named "Third-born Child of Moonlight, the One of Scales Syrup-Sweet" aka Citron. There is a small bio that reads "He runs a traveling candied fruit 'stand.' Also from Dawn's Waters along with Sterling and Lottie. And a good natured kinda guy" There are two colored sketches, one clothed and one unclothed. He is mostly a warm grey with a lighter grey underside and darker grey on his fins. His fin-hair is orange and yellow. His outfit consists of a simple grey visor, a pale green apron with a logo of a happy fish with an orange slice, yellow pants, and a little fishy keychain hanging off of his tail piercing. One uncolored sketch shows him with a pair of tongs and another shows him teasing Sterling, a smaller salmonid, for being such a bleeding heart while a smallfry and octoling stand behind him. There are also a number of sketches and notes about the patchwork metal paddle boat that Citron works out of, including an overhead and profile view, as well as an internal view of the cabin, which is also a kitchen and storage area. References for the steel eel Salmonid oc Resonance of Metal And Laughter, Tinkerer from Dawn's Waters. AKA "Sterling" Two colored sketches show him with and without a mask, he is dark grey with a light grey belly. His hair-fin is unkempt and sticking out in many directions but is a dyed gradient from purple to red. He has bags under his eyes. He's drooling a bit in the unmasked image. There is also a rough doodle of him piloting the steel eel machine captioned "It's a living" near the bottom is a beach-side scene of all the characters engaged in conversation. Lottie pops their head out of the water and is labeled "'Annoying' childhood friend" Sterling himself is seated against a rock and is labeled "comes on to land to drink coffee" Next to him Dewdrop the smallfry climbs up the rock to look at him with the label "babysits" Astera the octoling stands nearby engaged in the discussion at hand labeled "teaches about salmonid culture. There is one final note next to the scene that reads "Believes that Astera and Dewdrop's relationship can bring a better world. A refsheet for a horrorboros splatoon oc "Endless Twirling of Lofted Dreams Below a Porcelain Sky" or Lottie. They are primarily a light cool grey with an even lighter underbelly, pale blue hair-fins that are shown to be styled in a number of ways but primarily in a cartoon wing looking manner, and pale yellow eyes. They are wearing pale green "pants" held up by a light brown belt that attaches to a white necklace with blue floral patterning, they also have matching bracelets and have string lights draped over them also attached to the necklace and clipped to the bottom of the "pants." The pan-like weapon horroboros uses to create giant bombs is similarly white with blue floral patterns. There are notes saying that they are eccentric, vain, and flirtatious as well as that its fine to change up elements of their appearance such as hairstyle and accessories, and that they have an interest in inkfish fashion but is too big. A series of sketches with the main colored one being of two salmonids conversing, one standing above water on a house platform and the other leaning onto the "porch" while being mostly below the waves. Below that are rough sketches of Sterling's house and an amphibious city that he lives within. Sterling has living quarters above the waterline, and a bunch of tools and storage below it with a trap door allowing travel between the two rooms. The city shows some homes are similarly designed for both land and water while some are fully underwater. Finally there is a sketch of Lottie welcoming someone to their home. Lottie is too big for most communities so they live in a series of caves in an undersea chasm. They furnish well but get few visitors. A roughly sketched diagram of the horrorboros equipment and three steps on putting it on. There is the throat sponge which is attached to the pan/speaker. To that is attached a cloth chin strap and two electrical jumpers that branch out into three suction cups each. The steps are to first swallow the sponge, then fit the pan over one's bottom list and adjust to fit, then finally slap on the suction cups.
