Why is every day so much more delightful and thrilling when you are gardening? I don’t know, but as everyone else was frustrated with the snow we had, all I could think was “it’s their first snow!” and snap a commemorative picture at sunset. Late winter sowing #WinterSowing #NativePlants #Gardening

Your Chic Sparrow TN is beautiful! I enjoy Chic Sparrow too, and that is the only brand I buy so far.

This is the pen in question. I found it, and am trying to get it working again. I did get it writing with ghost ink- filling the cartridge with water that re-activated the ink. I never thought I could write with such a broad nib, but it showed me that I absolutely can! Leftie problems.

This edited anthology series is one of the best I have read for weird tales and ghostly stories. This is genius level editing- each story is its own unique and standout treasure. Highest recommendation for Women’s Weird 1 and 2.
A white paperback anthology entitled Women’s Weird 2: More Strange Stories by Women, 1891-1937 Edited by Melissa Edmundson. The cover has a large black and white photograph of a mysterious satin-gowned woman with a satin cape of the same rich color- I imagine red or green- with beadwork on the trim. She is holding a black rectangular object to her eye - it has an oval lens rimmed in gold at the center, and her eye is just slightly magnified through it. Her dark hair is streaked with generous swaths of silver, and she wears it swept up beautifully.

I feel way too elated to hear all of this!! I did notice the neat rivet system on the side, which is distinctive, but that pocket contrast with the front - I am thrilled to hear you were between this and Apple Pig! I am obsessed with Chic Sparrow and haven’t settled on a size-

This illustration style is like nothing we have seen before. It maybe riffs on the style of Crumb, but a woman sits at a kitchen table that is covered with bottles and art/writing paraphernalia behind her, a record player. This is an issue of Julie Doucet’s Dirty Plotte. Dozens of faces, all wearing different expressions, of the character Bitchy Bitch are crammed onto this cover like a vast malcontented crowd. This is Roberta Gregory’s excellent comic Naughty Bits.

I’m obsessed with #TravelersNotebooks and for my Pocket sized TN, I use only #FieldNotes. There are a variety of covers and types, but I go with Pitch Black and get dot grid. I buy writing equipment from Atlas Stationers, JetPens, ThreeTreeWhimsy, Paper Penguin, and Bookfell Studios (Etsy).

An interview with Tanith Lee from Locus Magazine, 1998. I absolutely loved her work, especially its ahead of its time discussion of gender as at times fluid or shifting and never essentialist or simple.

I have too many, but have found that pocket sized is just right for my dream journal, TBR list, etc., and A5, Wide, Narrow/Standard, and even B6 are sizes I like writing longer form ideas in. I have Chic Sparrows, but so many make these #TravelersNotebooks #Journaling

There is nothing like a cold,clear day with glorious sunshine pouring over the snow like butter. My vitamin D3 deprived soul is drinking it in as I have fortifying apple cinnamon oatmeal.

My walk home today. The weather has gotten chilly overnight, but there is still autumn beauty everywhere!
