It's not meant to appeal to Gen Z: mocking a liberal/left gen Z pop star—especially a young woman—is one of the favorite pastimes of MAGA's boomer/gen X base. They do this kind of stuff quite knowingly to make the lead monologue on shows like Gutfeld and Watters World
