🚨 HEADS UP

Washington State has reported a suspected human H5N1 case with no cattle exposure likely bird-linked (or from contaminated milk).

The patient is severely ill in hospital.

Clade pending (D1 vs B3). CDC confirmation awaited.

If confirmed, it will be Washington’s first H5N1 case of 2025.

the argument against healthcare for trans kids always smelled stupid to me because when I was 15 I was allowed to have double jaw surgery

my bones were broken and reset just to help my face look bit more feminine, and that improved my happiness immensely from then on

and why was THAT allowed hmmm

Feeling the need to post about my political/union story featuring a trans man fox shifter falling for a werewolf.
It also has stress baking, community care, trans affirming sex scenes, mm romance, an MC with epilepsy, and lots of food.

Korean study *just* published (10 Nov 2025) found that wearing kn94 masks (equivalent of ffp2 or n95) is protective against infection by COVID-19.

Only 1 healthcare worker infected out of over 180 working for a year with COVID+ patients.

Study was done in 2020 and 2021, before vaccines.

It's uncomfortable for a lot of kidlit creators to contend with, but if you leave porn without defense, the censors are comin for you next THEY ALWAYS DO

(and they HAVE been in this era of book bans)
(defend porn like your freedom of speech depends on it)
(because it does)
There has been a noticeable reticence in left and liberal circles to voice full-throated support for pornography, even as it's become increasingly clear what the open end goals of the censorship movement are
In a lot of ways other leftists chose this path folks. They shrugged and didn’t care when Patreon banned a ton of hypnosis and TF creators, or when YouTube started their ASMR crackdown. Now it’s coming for queer porn creators, more and more. Who will stand up?

In decades to come, we will look back at 2025 - following the most devastating pandemic in a century - as the year we turned back hard-earned progress on combating infectious diseases.

That means the comeback of preventable diseases. And the emergence of new ones.

According to this 50,000 people in the US died of Covid in 2024. It seems like an extraordinarily high figure for something that is no longer supposed to be a concern - even if you leave LC aside.
Why you should continue to get the COVID-19 vaccine every year!

I have 6 books in Kobo Plus! Fantasy, romance, horror, short stories. These free trials are a fantastic way to sample new-to-you authors and support indie authors without supporting Amazon. And Kobo is a Canadian company!
Kobo is doing a 30 day free trial promotion for their Kindle Unlimited competitor service Kobo Plus for new subscribers (not sure if this is US only), if you like queer indie books, small press SFF, and backlist SFF from large publishers there's a lot to choose from on this service that's not on KU!

It's Trans Awareness Week! So increase your weekly awareness of us by reading our stories.

(Our books also make great holiday gifts for your conservative relatives you'd like to never speak to you again!)
On that note:

Trans authors (I mean authors who are trans, NOT cis people who write about trans people), drop your book links here and I'll try to repost as many as I can throughout the day.

Cis people: Repost trans authors' book links.

Cis people who want to complain about being excluded: gtfo
Being a trans author is fucking weird right now. Hell is actively unfolding all around us but I still need to be like, "hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book? It won't make anything better, but it's kinda fun?"

So....hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book?
