Poor Buckeye butterfly has a crumpled wing. Found him yesterday in my yard, struggling; gave him some asters & sugar water. As of this morning, still hanging off of the asters w/his crumpled wing 🙁

TIL what a velvet ant (wasp) is. Never even heard of them until today. The females do not have wings and they can sting. I did not know that until after the interaction, lol.

When your dog is the slowest eater, you put some goat milk in the last bit of her dinner (to help her finish it all in a timely manner, lol)... and realizing it looks like a bowl of coco puffs.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, one of the best (imo) depression meals (if one can afford) are Annie Chun's noodle bowls. Easy, microwavable, and delicious.

Ok I think I've figured out it's a Black Swallowtail, considering there's no blue break in the orange spots in first pic, and the lil orange swirls in the center, on the second pic.
