Did a good deed this morning at my local Woolies.
At the checkout there was an old lady at the till. Her bill came to $58.85 but when she was counting all her change it only came to $19.00.
I knew she was probably someones Mum or Nan and I would like to think 1/2 someone

Got sad news today. After 7 years of medical training, my good friend has been struck off after 1 minor indiscretion. He slept with 1 of his patients & now can no longer work in the job he loves. What a waste of time, training & money. A genuinely nice guy, and a brilliant vet.

So I'm leaving Kyushu tomorrow after 12 days and it's been an incredible journey.
The island has so much to offer and I've only scratched the surface.
Such incredibly diverse landscapes, amazing food and of course people.

Another big highlight of the trip so far was visiting Mt Aso and getting to see the crater.
Smell is utterly horrific but what an experience.

On Sunday I visited Gunkanjima, an island 20km from Nagasaki and a former coal mine once home to some 5300 people and the island is tiny.
