The Trump administration is paying children in ORR custody (essentially detained children) $2,500 to get out of the country. Many of these children have no where to go, have no family, and are here seeking protection. Our immigration system is broken but this is NOT the way to fix it.

We also know that the largest number of people in the facility are classified as low-level detainees and that the facility currently only holds men.

Broome County Jail in Binghampton, NY is a new ICE facility less than a year old.
It's not huge: it currently holds about 40 people for, on average, 8 days, as our latest Detention Report shows.
But the new facility has already attracted controversy...
