It's that time of year again to play peak-of-the-century

The AI summaries YouTube places on my own videos are so full of nothing they couldn't possibly be useful to anyone. I'm assuming there's no way to disable this "feature."

The second one makes my Brothership video sound like a sponsored ad by Nintendo lol

Morgan warns that channeling can be dangerous, with spirits becoming "violent" if not properly controlled.

Similarly, "Ini" becomes violent when Mimi's control of the situation is threatened, when her secret risks being exposed.

As always in Ace Attorney, the truth inevitably rises to the surface.

The most effective instance is metaphorical. The case revolves around a woman who permanently "channels" her dead sister to avoid confronting her mistakes.

Mimi's scheme revolves around the idea that it's easy to lay blame on people who no longer exist. So if "Mimi" dies, her guilt will too.

Listening to some Ace Attorney music, and it reminded me how effective "Reunion, and Turnabout" is in re-introducing the concept of spirit mediums. Rather than the act itself, the case focuses on the *why* of it, using the dead as a tool for shirking blame and abdicating autonomy.

Before you are two candidates:

Rayquaza:
-Becomes free-will-pilled
-Has his head in the clouds but performs duties flawlessly when reminded

Gardevoir:
-Burdened by natural order
-Inexplicably wants her memory wiped every few months (claims it's "part of her role")

I know who I'd follow.

Just finished Gates to Infinity for the first time in 8 years, and I have to say, I was not expecting the Gurdurr story of all things to destroy me emotionally. It might be the best little vignette a Pokémon game has done.

Needless to say, I will be giving this game an absolute *glazing* next month

Now that the dust has settled from all of the Mario RPGs we got last year, I think this how I'm feeling about them as of now.

I could be convinced to swap Brothership and Superstar Saga, but it's been a while since I last played the latter.

For anyone who's interested, my Mario & Luigi: Brothership video is now available on my Patreon, alongside an addendum to that video. I plan for the main video to release late next week.

Check it out here:

Since I recently finished Mario & Luigi: Fragments of the Forgotten Past, I suppose it's only appropriate to start Ys: Brothership next

(Ys series is 👌, by the way)
