Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.

DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.

A bad thing is unfolding at NIH this week: It looks like the Trump administration is trying to replace key civil servant scientific leaders, the Institute Directors, with political hires. These directors control the NIH budget, tens of billions.

There's a reason the phrase "We don't negotiate with terrorists" exists.

I don't understand how they don't understand that if they enable Republican cruelty, they don't give us a lot of reason to vote for or support them. The cruelty alone should be enough reason to try to be strong (I won't use "stay strong" for senate Dems).
