follow-up: do you know if there's somewhere I can torrent a complete-ish GD/JG collection with minimal duplication? LL seems to be one show at a time, which would be kind of a pain, and bt.etree has torrents with several shows each but those have every available source, which is also kind of a pain

it’s fun in the way all-star jams covering a bunch of standards is fun. I don’t listen to it if I want to really hear a show, but I don’t usually put on an actual real Garcia gig just for background music at the holidays either

and there was no reason at all to have an alternative proposal. It should have just been Prop 1, yes or no, like every other thing on the ballot. Unless, of course, Harrell et al. knew Prop 1 would pass and deliberately felt they needed to muddy the waters

yep, rather than allow a payroll tax on high earners to go on the ballot unopposed, he and his friends on the city council endorsed Prop 1B, which basically avoided any tax by borrowing money already allocated for other housing affordability projects.
