“…UK officials will be able to seize assets, including jewellery, from asylum seekers to cover the costs…”

Fucking hell, we’ve all heard that somewhere before, haven’t we.

Surely not Winston Peters seeing which way the wind is blowing a year out from an election and trying to subtly plant seeds for an about-face? 😂

Wellington is a treat.
Been wondering what the walking tracks up the back of our place were, so went up for a nosey.
Turns out they’ve extended Skyline to here now, which is the perfect excuse to smash it again this summer 💪

Thoughts and prayers to all the dudes who shat on Meg White all those years.
Now she’s a Rock n Roll Hall of Famer, and you’re still rage posting from your Mum’s basement.
Oh, and she’s always been a better drummer than you 😂

A little proud of the fact that I, in my mid-40s, won an office planking comp yesterday by beating a rock climber 20 years my junior, and someone mid-30s who is going for their jiujitsu black belt.
Nice little moment in this quest to get my fitness back😂

Quite enjoyed my Duolingo streak hitting 666 days on Halloween 👻

Who could possibly have predicted the party who tanked the economy to funnel more cash to landlords isn’t in favour of a CGT? 🤷‍♂️

My kid’s school has a dress up day on Thursday. The theme is famous painters or paintings and I’m seriously considering just lining her up outside and throwing random paints at her, then hanging a sign around her neck with ‘Jackson Pollock’ written on it.

Govt full of clowns who’ve spent the last decades kicking the climate change can down the road give it another big boot.
On behalf of all the generations who will have to foot the bill for this bin fire - thanks, fuckwits.

In that case, fuck “the way it is” all the way to Mars, Marie.
Personally think we should consider making this not just the way it is

Designating difficult to define groups as terrorist organisations seems a slippery slope to me.
How easy is it going to be to silence and lock away your opponents by simply labelling them Antifa?

Also, feel for those few remaining WW2 vets waking up to suddenly find out they’re terrorists.

Wait, you’re telling me the President used his spot at a memorial service to walk out to fireworks, and then pre-announced and announcement for a cure for autism?

It’s going to be drinking bleach and finding a way to shine bright light inside the body again, isn’t it…

At what point should I be concerned if our voting packs haven’t arrived yet?

Potentially odd request - I need a particular power adapter for an old guitar effects unit, and am having one hell of a time trying to find one.
If anyone know where I can find a 9vAC 1.3A one, with an NZ/AU plug, I would be very grateful.

DC ones are everywhere. AC not so much.

Powered my way through The Narrow Road to the Deep North over the last two nights.
Not sure I’ve watched something that harrowing in a long time. Finished the last ep at about 12:30 last night, but couldn’t bring myself to just go to bed straight after.

Spent a couple days back in Auckland for work this week.
The highlight definitely being the couple behind me at some lights getting on the horn and gesticulating wildly because I stopped to let a fire engine with full lights and sirens through ahead of me.
Some things never change 😂

Three years ago today we packed up a moving truck and car with everything we owned and moved to Wellington.

As a city I love it to bits. Lifestyle wise, specially with a 5 year old, it’s amazing having everything so close.

Job and mental health wise it has been the toughest years I’ve had though.

It’s just taken me 10 minutes to realise Joao Pedro is not Joao Felix and we haven’t actually somehow signed the same bloke for the thousandth time.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but my understanding of first vs second degree murder is that first involves premeditation.
Pretty sure having an actual fucking hit list involves some kind of premeditation, yeah?
