The design of this bridge bugs me because why did they put bikes in-between a concrete wall and cars? Would have been so easy to have the bike lane elevated next to the sidewalk and protected by that barrier.

I walk from Midtown to areas near Centennial Park. It's actually a pretty nice walk through Georgia Tech's campus and along Techwood. For the novel, they probably just don't know much about Atlanta 😆, but could be a high-floor room at a midtown hotel. The Renaissance would fit this description.
