I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Bugonia - WOW. Very engaging, surprising, well made with an excellent score(like One Battle). Slowly descending into chaos. Thoroughly entertaining.

Saddened to hear of Satish Shah’s passing. Was think just the other day that he’s been such a likeable actor. Sarabhai is of course terrific, but Satish Shah’s most memorable role was that of a fantastic corpse in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron.

Never post a portrait picture of Sir David Attenborough with any sort of headline because it can give heart attack to the readers.
Sir David Attenborough, the British documentarian and naturalist, became the oldest person to win a Daytime Emmy on Friday at age 99. He beat the record set last year by Dick Van Dyke. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/18/a...

Not a big fan of reportage of such stories. Lacks nuance. Lacks ethical and scientific debate. Lacks dignity for the patient. Treats palliative care decisions with contempt.

This is the saddest thing ever. Donald Trump is the greatest threat to science, and by extension, to mankind. The sooner he leaves office(and punished) the better.

Indians campaigned for Trump in the US.
70% of H1B visas are given to Indians. China is a distant second. So I think we know what this is really about.

This is what a variety of studies believes will happen if the H1B visa is truly stifled.
