Which got me thinking about towns that exclude visitors to "their" beaches and amenities by controlling parking. And how some of those same people will get very huffy when they visit the city and can not park for free.

Not to say this project should be stopped. But behold our mayor's housing plan: Build homes for those who can not afford cars or SFHs *only* in places like I-95 and North Main St.- Sacrifice zones made dangerous and toxic by the cars of people who live where Those People are excluded.

Some math on RI's Washington Bridge. Say 100,000 cars per day for 20 years. Bridge replacement costs an optimistic $500M. That is $1.44 per trip! Why the hell isn't there be a toll? Better yet, charge $2 during peak times now, and watch the delays disappear. 6 lanes is enough.

In the early days of music streaming someone explained Pandora to me- "It learns what kind of music you like and then plays more of that." I said that sounds like the most boring thing ever. A mental doom loop. If being able to say I told you so was money I'd be rich.
A lot of people who are not bad people still think politics is just a TV show akin to pro wrestling. That's who swung the election. Old school Dems either think they ought to stay above it or they fall flat when they venture into the ring. 1/2
