Hello #knitting Bluesky!

I’m Terri the owner of AT Haynes House Yarns, a hand-dyed yarn company.

I knit and crochet (including Tunisian) and have the best family in the world.

All of our products are based off the shenanigans that happen at the Haynes house.

Where are my stitching friends?
MD Sheep & Wool is this weekend! Our theme for this whole year has been Haynes House Happy. We have committed to be happy this year. That happiness means bring some joy to you.

Introducing our featured colorways MDSW here are their stories (yeah, you heard the Law & Order theme play in your head

See this smile. This is the smile of a woman who lengthened her sweater so it actually fits.

Read all about it. Blog post on our website tomorrow! athayneshouseyarns.com/blogs/at-the...

Also, Brian was across the table from me making me laugh.

New pattern alert!
Introducing Dashingly Simple.

Like all our other products, it has a story.
AHHY Pattern Story: Terri designed this shawl while she was going through a tough time. Her goal was to have something to knit but nothing too complicated.

The hermit left the house. Yay, me.

Sunday stitches fit and I’m shining with the light of my ancestors! LOL!

Nice to see the sun after all the rain we had this weekend in MD.

Saturday night turn up…or down. I’ve got green chai and my knitting and no to-do list.

This is the Betty Test knit from @riverroadsknits
I’m using our Another Pink, Terri? And Flock It! (Baltimore Ravens colorway) on our Bare Feet Sock Base.

Ahhhh!

My long tail cast-ons are always too long. So I just cut it and made a little heart.

I used a 2.75 metal crochet hook. Too long tail is from my Betty tee cast-on (test knit by Sharon Hartley). Colorways are our Another Pink, Terri? sitting on a cake of Stitch Night.

Someone asked this question on another platform and I thought it might be good info for others.

If you’d like to hide a designer in your search results on Ravelry, here is how you do it:

Many years ago while living in Belgium, my allergist put me on meds that knocked me out. When I asked if I had any other options he told me I could either suffer or sleep through spring.

I’m starting to think he was on to something with sleeping through spring.

I severely dislike spring. 🤧

Terri here.
Still resting and relaxing from traveling to Nash Fest.

My Godmother has a saying that as you get older you don’t bounce back as quickly as you did when you were younger. She’s right. The bounce back ain’t bouncing yet.

We're prepping for @festfest this weekend.

Remember I said that we would have a special guest in our booth? It's my big sister, Wanda!

Ya'll remember, Wanda, right? Cancer survivor behind our Fight and Until We Win colorways. Well, Wanda is thriving and loves to travel

We're going to Nash Fest!

This is a new show and a new show for us. We're excited to make new friends and hang out with the lovely friends in the fiber community we already have, too.
So here are the featured colorways for Nash Fest in our continuing theme Haynes House Happy:

Having a knitting/crocheting husband means having an in-house pattern tester.

Same goes for him having a knitting wife. I’ve tested my share of socks for him.

New patter coming Friday.

If you are trying to meditate some heath problems by loosing weight like me and love coffee, don’t make these. Please, look away.

They are so good you’ll have an existential crisis and feel like you did something wrong.

There is something so sweet about picking buttons for a sweater for a newborn.

Welcome to the world little person. It’s a bit of a mess but there are people out here trying to make it good for you.

And making sure you’ll be cute as a button in your sweater.

Terri here. We made it home safe from #vogueknittingonline. This week, we are resting and working (a little). But mostly, we’ll be quiet and crafting.

We are also doing a Comfort MAL. Brian is making a quilt for a friend and I am knitting The V-Back Tee in our yummy Posh Fingering.

Keeping with my theme of nighttime Vogue Knitting Live prep...

Last year, I started using the Goodnotes app as a planner. All lists are written down in one place. I even have the schematics of my booth layout in here.

It takes planning to have a successful show & I’m glad to have this tool.

Another round of snow coming tonight into tomorrow morning. Not as much as this past Sunday.

It’s all fun and games until you have to go in the freezing dye studio (the garage).
