This past Saturday, my team @aclunv and I were honored to receive the Junior League of Las Vegas’ Community Impact Award in front of a packed house.

In 2024, we participated in 115 community events in 365 days. Weve done more than 3 dozen KYR trainings in 75 days.

And we ain’t stoppin’!

Today, it’s fitting to share that every civil rights abuse brought by the federal government in Nevada during the next four years will be challenged. At @aclunv.bsky.social, we won’t accept the bullshit and will honor Bro. King’s legacy for what it was: radical, unapologetic, and necessary.

My fraternity brother MLK was despised by vast swaths of America during his lifetime because of his commitment to civil rights for all, especially the marginalized. His goal wasn’t to stop progress to find consensus among the majority because civil rights aren’t designed to protect the majority.

While 2k+ people sit on state death rows, glad to see today’s commutation news from POTUS! People oppose the death penalty for diff reasons. My reasons, among others, include 1) crooked govt officials using execution threats to coerce pleas and 2) the below perspective from the Catholic Church.⬇️

If you think Nevada is immune from the dangers of mass deportations, please take your rose-colored glasses off. Many were screaming all summer about Kamala not talking to the media, so maybe our Governor can give a media interview on potential ICE cooperation?
