BREAKING: Early this morning in a 7-2 ruling, the Supreme Court temporarily blocked the deportation of any Venezuelan men held in the Bluebonnet Detention Center in northern Texas under the Alien Enemies Act.

The court was right to block these removals. These individuals were in imminent danger of spending the rest of their lives in a brutal Salvadoran prison without ever having had any due process.
Venezuelan migrants told of imminent deportation under US wartime law
Two Venezuelan men detained in Texas were told by a U.S. official that they will be deported imminently under an 18th century American wartime law, lawyers for some Venezuelan migrants told a U.S. federal court on Friday.

This is a WILD #Nevada story. Today's IFC hearing revealed a $50 MILLION budget shortfall because of $60 MILLION DOLLARS IN OVERTIME for our overpopulated #corrections system. Per hearing and article, legislators weren't told but the Governor's office was aware?
“So you’re saying that your agency told the governor’s office… ‘hey, we’re going to run into huge deficits. We’re going to overspend like nobody’s business in overtime,’ and they were aware of this, and they just didn’t bring it to our attention until March?” Sen. Nguyen asked NDOC's Dzurenda.
