Medical Genetics with a focus on healthcare transition for AYA with IMD. ⭕️💀
Still can’t believe that this is happening in fairly uncool Roscoe Village. Maybe all of those middle aged dads are actually hip?

Have you read Didion and Babitz? I’m more fascinated by Babitz and the book skews towards her so I’d be interested to hear your take.

Ooh. I think like midnight is playing soon after skipping porchfest this year.

The bigger sound worked really well but it didn’t leave any room for changing dynamics which is something I think they really excel at (see the river from last years Philly show)

It didn’t help that we came straight from SPAC. Apparently that was the right number of reprises to make the dripping tap feel tame.

I had mixed feelings at the show and am curious to see how the tour evolves. Sounded great but somewhat lacking the intensity they are usually able to generate.

It’s Fitzpatricks local office. That’s great turnout for the amount of rain/unpleasant traffic situation.

Sounds like this can be submitted for CME funds.

I was wondering about the impact on residents. One more thing that is going to decimate healthcare in underserved areas.

Not the exact fit but Sarah Schulmans “let the record show” is a good history of Act Up and AIDS grassroots activism.

Convenient for people who live in Philly and work in queens on weds.

Totally predictable yet still devastating. I didn’t even think about the effects on the T32 training programs which fund the salaries of most medical fellows until today.

Oh boy. I can tell you a bit about the rare disease situation where there are special programs to entice R&D but insurances won’t approve any medication that has been approved for <6 mo

My favorite thing about them is the glazed over look of palpable regret when explaining the brilliance of doner wrap to a normal person. It’s similar to when you get back to work on Jan 2 and a colleague asks what you did for NYE

They are both deeply unserious and very serious simultaneously. Perfect band.
January 16, 2025 at 2:25 PM
I should. Haven’t convinced either of my colleagues to go with me yet.

He loves being on a team so I’d bet someone helped. But I wouldn’t have appreciated the nuance without you - I just thought it sounded very similar to last years AC/DC Bag jam.

Really hoping for some BTS info next week. It’s amazing how much new, unexpected music they created for us.

I used yemsg as an excuse to stock up at McNally Jackson.

Ooh. So glad I’m not the only other adult to be dealing with strep throat this week. But no one offered me a steroid shot (probably why I’m just bouncing back after 4 days of antibiotics). Feel better.

Babysitters club graphic novels or witches of Brooklyn for 8. For 6, National Geographic has good books of why or a kids encyclopedia might work. We got a beloved one from Costco many years ago

Oh yes! There’s a Comedy Central special that’s amazing.

Could not stop the tears. It was perfect. I’m going to follow it up with some YouTube videos from her raunchy cabaret shows.

What a beautiful finale. I’ve been mourning the show all day - and maybe letting it stand for my greater disappointment for this country. Like if we could nourish TV like that, maybe we can figure out universal healthcare.
