It's about cruelty. It's only about cruelty and an enforcement of extreme poverty.

People need to understand that Chicago is a preview, not a culmination.
I have been actively watching contracts and surge funding over the last few days and what I would say to my friends in Baltimore is “be absolutely ready, right now.”
ICE poised to ramp up raids in Baltimore by Thanksgiving
The Trump administration has rush-ordered infrastructure to conduct raids, abduct residents, and detain people for months.

Starving the population rarely goes well for authoritarian regimes.

Also, I would love to hear from the many so-called Christians in the Republican party about what their beliefs say about feeding the hungry.

A really harrowing visualization of just how rich Elon Musk is. Perhaps we should rethink the existence of billionaires?

Interesting. It would be fascinating to see MTG and others move away from the extreme Right, and showing them to be political opportunists and their Right-wing discourse as something rooted in bad-faith arguments.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, Wes Streeting, and Richard Hanania making moves away from the far right are my evidence that it's a spent force. Opportunists sensing a change in the direction of the wind.

I can’t stress this enough. They want to do inside the US the kind of extrajudicial murders they’ve been doing internationally. This has always been about normalizing the ability of Trump to smite his personal enemies without suffering legal consequences. Trump’s testing for compliance & resistance.

Remember when Paul Krugman’s columns were soooo wonky.

Teaching the first episode of The X-Files in class tomorrow as we consider the role of government and sovereign authority in the construction of conspiracy. We've been talking a lot about UFOs in class, and it will be interesting to hear their perspective on such an iconic TV show.

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

So, this is happening now.
I can’t believe I’m watching interviews of city mayors talking about how they are coordinating with other mayors to discuss how to protect their residents FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

I know we are “used to it” but it is absolutely insane

Proofreading has some real highs and lows. Sometimes you are reminded why your argument is actually pretty good and the next moment you see that you've misspelled "the" for the 15th time.
