So, is this the good place? I deleted IG recently and Twitter a while ago. LinkedIn about 4-5 years ago. Facebook 11 years ago. I really like tiktok but whatever just happened there was... weird.

When I was Head of Accessibility at DWP, I dreamed of being able to take on accessibility apprentices, but we didn’t have enough support in place at the time. Proud of Nicki and the team for getting this over the line and offering 4 opportunities!

Another senior accessibility specialist job opportunity here at Home Office.
It's not in my team but I'm sure we'd work closely together and you'd be part of the community we're building here. (Revised link)

Hey BlueSky accessibility pals. I’m coming off mat leave in a couple of months, what’s new and exciting in the field? Obviously WCAG 2.2 coming to fruition, but what else?

I was just listening to the Hard Fork podcast and a new job has popped up in the field called prompt engineer, which trains LLMs to be better and less harmful. It reminded me of Eric Bailey’s talk, ‘be the villain’. I think accessibility engineers would be very good at it.

More of the trust and safety team at Twitter fired and political ads will be allowed again. Looking good for election disinformation season. Cool stuff.

I used to be in denial about my Leslie Knopery but I love waffles, jamming on my planner, have many organized binders for life stuff and applied to school one day before applications technically opened. Also my partner has a very cute butt. I am what I am.

I hope the bubble of getting away with badly coded websites bursts when the dust settles on all the changes happening in tech. I hope developers are expected to know web standards to build products that hit the market. I hope AI will program well and force people to be better

In light of the anti-trans school protests across Canada today I’ve gone ahead and applied for teachers college 2024. These kids need more support since a lot of them face hatred or erasure at home. #NoSpace4Hate

What’s a name for feeling sorry but without regret? For example cooking a great meal using every dish in the kitchen that someone else is cleaning. Like sorry I used all those dishes, but no regrets because it made a killer meal, that kinda thing
