I can respect that, I feel like there's space for us to meet in the middle. Especially when the billionaires are actively making life worse for anyone who isn't rich or lives near one of their unsightly data centers.

They took what was supposed to be this cool golden age tech and perverted it.

I'm going to assume you're talking about the people who just want to 1-shot prompt something to completion with the AI filling in the literal thousand+ gaps. Yeah, that's a lazy shortcut indeed.

Now, using AI via an interactive iterative back-and-forth process is what I would classify as a tool.

Oh, that's cool! So you actually know what I mean given your experiences.

The first week I used Claude to build the core systems of my game was like some weird magic. I'd sit down, have the convo, test the code, rinse/repeat, and did that for 6-8 hours at a time. The focus was unreal! Still is.

You have no idea what games I play, so it would be a real intellectual/growing opportunity as a person for you to not constantly make assumptions about people you don't know and likely don't even care to get to know.

When I wanted to learn to play piano, I used virtual reality to turn it into a game. To finish my book, I would read comments and reviews on my uploaded chapters for motivation.

I failed out of programming in highschool, but now I can use AI to help code, and it's helped me learn as we build~

Regardless of time, money, or energy differences (which shouldn't be undermined in the learning process), not everyone can learn the same way

For example, I have ADHD, and learning new things has always been incredibly difficult unless I take advantage of the fact that my brain likes dopamine cont~

You do know you can give a shoutout to your favorite games without actively crapping on someone's work REGARDLESS of your stance on AI, right?

Have you actually played his game to know for a fact it's AI slop? No? Maybe don't let your hate for something ruin proper social internet decorum.

Oh, that's cool! From what I understand of some current game engines. GameMaker Studio is not built to easily create 3D games.

That said, I would recommend the Godot engine! Lots of documentation, easy language, good 3D support, and free to use.

What kind of game are you thinking of making?
