The yellow is porcelain powder mixed with yellow masonry stain. On the ramekins it is also mixed with metal filing. On the tiles they are mixed with bicarbonate of soda and vinegar.
All fired and solid but they retain that dusty finish. :)

It’s not how I’ve worked before so I’m enjoying documenting the processes. So many different things in my head, blue sky is a bit of my sketch book. I’m really pleased someone is enjoying them too!

I’m exploring the clay at each stage more thoroughly.
This is powdered porcelain mixed with differing % of masonry stain plus different amounts of metal filings and bicarbonate.
To create pieces that look like they’ve been left for a century. So I’m seeing if I can get something interesting.
