Limitations. Lets say an airship is fragile and you don't want to damage it (and potentially leak it) so you wont land in areas like a forest.

It could land on a clearing tho.

Give the player another form of transportation from the airship to where they want to go (if not on foot)

You don't get new people to enjoy the game when the game is as buggy and unstable as it currently is.
