The average movie watcher buys the largest, cheapest TV possible for their space and don't even know you _can_ (and should) calibrate them. Hell most the big box store black friday special models are the binned and worst quality models that don't even pass QC for the main series.

I see! I hadn't heard of it, after looking at the project, the code hasn't been updated in ~3 years with a plethora of unaddressed issues reported around quality. I think this is the prime suspect right now. A dedicated mixing application might be the best course of action from my perspective.

Nah you're not stupid. I'm not sure what your setup is exactly but you mentioned Voicemeeter. If you're using something like Wave Link, there appears to be an option available in the advanced settings for buffer size too.
