SCOOP — Pennsylvania prosecutors were alerted to possible voting irregularities by one of MAGA's leading voices against voter fraud. A long paper trail shows Jack Posobiec has been living in Maryland but voting using his parents' PA address for years.

MAGA’s “Voter Fraud” Watchdog Votes in a Swing State. He Doesn’t Live There.
A long paper trail shows that Jack Posobiec casts a ballot in one state and lives in another.

"In a study published in The Lancet in September, UC Davis researchers surveyed over 9,300 people. They found that those who hold racist, xenophobic, and transphobic beliefs and negative attitudes toward gay people are more likely to support political violence and be inclined to commit lethal acts."
Two recent studies from the Centers for Violence Prevention at the University of California, Davis, aim to understand how political acts of violence are linked to certain beliefs and support of specific organizations. Their findings are striking.

THE PURGE

Polls show that Project 2025 didn’t resonate. Voters thought it wasn’t real. Well, now we’re living it and it’s already 47% implemented after only 9 months.

Trump’s shutdown is a shortcut: gut the federal workforce, fire career experts, replace them with loyalists. Laid out in P2025.

Journalist Mario Guevara is reporting that he will be deported to El Salvador today, after spending more than 100 days in detention after he was arrested on June 14 while covering a "No Kings" protest near Atlanta, GA. The charges against him were dropped, but DHS pursued deportation anyways.

Assata Shakur's story, Marian Jones writes in @teenvogue.com, is "also a reminder of the impact of COINTELPRO, and how it continues to impact activists today through technological surveillance, the criminalization of protest, and the targeting of dissidents." Shakur passed in Cuba on Friday.

“Nobody in the world, nobody in history, has ever gotten their freedom by appealing to the moral sense of the people who were oppressing them.”

My nephew who is 13 pushed back against one of his uncles saying this to him. He said “why aren’t you angrier and fighting for the world to be fairer then?” And you know what, he is absolutely right.

I can’t begin to tell you how damaging “the world isn’t fair, get used to it” line has been to every child’s psyche growing up and therefore has led to a world that stays unfair. If we teach children to get used to an unfair world, we are destroying the possibility of a better world.

What I know from being Black my whole life, and poor for the majority of it, is that politely ignoring a root issue to attend to one closer to the surface is like robbing Peter to pay Paul. It’s a band-aid on a gaping wound, and it will not hold your flesh together for long. The US needs stitches.

I say it all the time, but imma say it again: a lot of very book smart people lack the emotional education and communication skills that would allow them to generate the courage they want to embody in their work. They are incurious about their own emotional lives, and consequently, those of others.

As long as the loudest folks on the left insist tone-policing, compromise on human rights, and acquiescence are our only options for a unified country, they will continue to lose the faith of the marginalized. And even when they win, they’ll just be waiting to lose the same way again.

Marginalized folks know TONE and LANGUAGE CHOICE are only part of what’s being communicated. But those in the power majority are accustomed to spaces that value and demand the faux nicety of polite tones no matter the core message being shared. To them, sounding angry makes you wrong in any event.

The conversation between Klein and Coates showed me that a lot of people who screech about “infighting” on the left aren’t aware of the fact that marginalized people have been forced to learn how to regulate their emotions during conflict, and so, are better able to hear what’s actually being said.

And if you are consistently focused on one or two areas then you can safely ignore all of the people doing NOTHING who are constantly yelling "someone needs to do something" [that I am personally not doing myself].
Pick one or two lanes and keep at it. You are one person and cannot do everything or take 10 actions a day.

It's always the people taking consistent action who feel they aren't doing "enough." Let that shit go. You are doing more than 85% of others.

I am personally at more than capacity. What we need is for others to do their part(s) too.

Like clockwork, we are back to the Republican framing that government assistance is okay if its farmer bailouts and tax cuts for the wealthy & big corporations but hell no for people who need help with healthcare, food or housing.
Joni Ernst: "Unfortunately, our farmers do need that assistance. They don't like it. They consider it welfare. They want trade, not aid. So we really need to see some of these new markets opening up around the globe ... but if there's anybody that can make a deal, it's President Trump."

Why did @govpritzker.illinois.gov send out Illinois police to limit protests at Broadview? Why is a progressive governor shielding illegal ICE activity from peaceful protesters? Why are our state tax dollars devoted to Trump’s agenda?
