I've often gotten crap from people in the past over holding to my stance that I won't stream or recommend games with predatory monetization practices, but I'm glad I've stuck to my principles, because my god this is bad. This never should've gotten normalized in gaming.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

Something I'd like to address. There's this idea that TQ+ folk are all 21 year-old art students... and all the 'normal' old school folk are LGB and entirely left behind and confused by 'pronouns'...

Y'know, I don't really know what it is I do that people seem to like me, but I think some of it is just being enthusiastic about what I like, be it niche videogames, horror movies, or whatever else I'm fixated on, 'cos that's often what I appreciate in others; just folks loving what they're into.
