Hello!
We are Assembling Chickens. We are a small narrative focused game dev studio based in the beautiful Spanish Alpujarras.
We are working on three unannounced projects with some highly talented people, and we will be sharing more about those projects in the coming days, please stay tuned!
Five Biggest Accomplishments is a short visual novel about being asked to name your Five Biggest Accomplishments by someone who has no idea what your job entails and wants to fire you.

@bcngamefest.bsky.social is always such a fantastic experience. Glad to be sharing details about our upcoming game with so many people.
Hi, all!
We will be at @bcngamefest.bsky.social this weekend! While we still have nothing to share publicly and no stand, we will carrying a laptop with a small demo, so if you want an early peek let us know!
Because this is our first game, we are really excited to see if we did a good job of it. We will be talking much more about it soon, as our holidays are ending. For now, check this amazing character design by @lilithkb.bsky.social for the first character you will meet.

Most of our iteration is actually happening to address that balance. We want to keep some questions unanswered (because we would love to explore that world further), but we need the main arc to be rewarding, and the players to leave with the feeling that their questions were answered!

Because of that, uncovering that lore becomes the player's biggest movitation (or so we hope). Finding more about where the MC is, why he is there, and what is happening is actually the reward for them.
This gives us a very challenging balance game. How much do we actually show?

Great question!
Our (still unanounced) first game has a bit of a Mystery Box format. We imply from the start that there is a lot of background to be discovered, and show very little.
We pose a lot of questions in the first few minutes, and we leave them hanging.

This week's discussion question: How do you convey your VN’s lore without overwhelming players?
We are ramping up to announce something coming very soon. In the meantime, be sure to play previous jam projects from us at rabbitz.itch.io
