I've talked to people who seem to have issues just in general with any drivers when it comes to Wayland.
Particularly people using NVidia hardware pre-20 series, or specific AMD cards with Wayland bugs.
Not all hardware is going to support Wayland unless Wayland invests in legacy hardware support.

I have IoT LTSC on my desktop so I don't get the AI shit either. :)
