Fantastic! I’m assuming Tailor of Gloucester is the 1993 one, then? And which year is that version of Nutcracker from?

Can’t believe I forgot Father Christmas! And I’ve seen the original Miracle on 34th Street, which I also love, it’s just the the 94 film is the one I watched as a kid, so it tends to be the one I go with during the season! Definitely adding the others to the watchlist! Thanks!

Yep. My curiosity got the better of me.

Definitely fair to forget about it! Wish I could.

Yeah, but I’d argue that doesn’t work for Neverland. And even if that’s the direction you go with it, probably best to not hype it up as more than it is.

Honestly, while Pan is pretty bad (especially in its handling of Tiger Lily and her people), I wouldn’t say it’s the worst rendition either.

That’s Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare.

I liked the Pete’s Dragon remake too, but it just wasn’t there for me with this one. Wendy gushing over how beautiful Neverland is and it’s just…an English cliff side on a grey morning is kind of the movie summed up for me, in a way.

I give it credit for the shanties and sort of what they do with Tiger Lily (having an actual indigenous actress playing her & speaking her language was great, but she wasn’t used nearly enough), and they thankfully don’t do the “Peter’s the real villain” crap, but otherwise it’s just pretty bad.

Peter Pan I have a vested interest in as it’s one of my special interests, and it just fumbled far too much for me.

Really? Interesting. Cause I’m not sure how they could make what I know about the ending work.

Frankenstein, Weapons or Good Boy, I think.

Interestingly enough, it was the same for the Lilo and Stitch remake; I was planning on watching it, but I wasn’t gonna do so immediately, and then I found out exactly how bad it was and was VERY thankful I hadn’t been in a rush to see it.
November 18, 2025 at 2:06 AM
Yeah, I’ve definitely heard good things about it, it’s just one of those situations where I haven’t gotten around to watching it.

I still need to see the Little Mermaid remake, but if I’m honest, the recent Disney live action remakes that I HAVE seen have been a coin flip in terms of whether I like them or not. Mulan, Peter Pan and Lion King? Hated. Jungle Book, Cinderella and Pete’s Dragon? I liked those well enough!

I think he was in the bidding for Texas Chainsaw. Can’t remember if he won it or not, though.
