A working stove and a working refrigerator are not luxuries - they are a necessary part of modern life. By making these necessary appliances standard in rental homes, California can provide all of its residents with a safer, more affordable and more dignified place to call home. #AB628

I am extremely concerned about the displacement of families from the Palisades and Altadena, especially families within the historically Black neighborhoods of Altadena. AB 851 is an important part of LA County’s work to rebuild from this disaster and I encourage Gov. Newsom to sign AB 851 into law.

We’re on the verge of making history. My #ab57 was just approved by the Assembly, which will create the nation’s first homeowner assistance program for descendants of formerly enslaved people. Now we need your help to encourage Governor Newsom to sign this bill into law.

The commitment to higher education & the grace that was offered to our public colleges and universities in the form of a zero interest loan in the 2025-26 state budget has not been shared by this body when it comes to our public TK-12 schools.
