It’s democracy sausage day in Australia. Thanks to rank choice voting I can vote for the generally less popular ( but better aligned to my tastes) onions, still knowing that my vote will flow to the sausage and do everything possible to keep the hated bun out of power.

Those not understanding this have not had an actual French baguette. I still dream of my campsite(!) 1 euro baguette bought fresh every morning.
every time I go back to France I am made to face the fact that a large black coffee and two slices of toasted baguette with a thick layer of melting butter simply is the best breakfast known to man, we just really nailed that one as a country, it's flawless

@radiofreetom.bsky.social I hate to say this, but accurate or not, this spate of ‘foreign tourists mistreated by ICE’ stories is going to trash overseas tourism to the US. As a long time reader of your posts can you explain the end game here? Reputation of the US is nosediving.
