Book Review: Sorcery and Small Magics by Maiga Doocy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Y'all, this book was DELIGHTFUL! Very slow burn enemies to lovers romance. It's refreshing to see control magic treated seriously by the characters and not as a joke. Also I have discovered a new favorite trope: queer pettiness.

Book Review: Death of the Author by Nnedi Okorafor ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was a phenomenal read. The weaving of literary fiction and science fiction makes this a unique reading experience. And that ending! 🤯 I'll be thinking about this one for a while.

The Tea Dragon Society by Kay O'Neill ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I defy you not to tear up while reading this little 70 page graphic novel. It's beautiful, it's queer, it has tiny dragons, and it will give you the warm and fuzzies in no time. I can't wait to devour the sequels.

In case anyone was wondering, yes, I'm still baking sourdough bread. I added 5 minutes to the lid off baking time and I love what it's done for the crust color!

Dinner tonight was baked chicken legs tossed in a scotch bonnet pepper sauce, baked yellow potato, and buttered carrots. I kinda wish we had done a green veggie for the aesthetics, but we needed to use the carrots. Still delicious 😋

If you have a pet who needs medicine regularly, particularly pills, I can't emphasize enough how helpful it is to give pill time positive associations. We give Luna treats immediately after her pill and when I tell you she herds me into the kitchen for pill time.

Today's sourdough bread was an attempted oval loaf. It ended up mostly round, but still very pretty looking!

Poor Luna has an upset tummy today. She had a projectile incident in the bed plus a couple more on the floor this morning. She seems settled now, but I'm keeping an eye on her. 😿
