As a child I’d often wonder how Hitlers propaganda worked. I just couldn’t figure out how people could suddenly turn on their neighbours or start hating those they called friends.

This is what the right hate. When the immigrants came it was all fun with Mr Patel in his little shop, could look down on him, steal some snacks and smokes and he’d smile along.

It doesn’t make sense to align yourself with people like Mamdani in politics. Virtuous politicians get buried very quickly, their reputations are much easier to tarnish than open crooks. It doesn’t help that he’s Muslim either. AIPAC will make sure he’s shamed into being an antisemite soon enough
