The Department of Homeland Security issued him a work permit, and he joined a union, working full time as a sheet metal apprentice.

It was amazing to watch history over the last day. He may not be everyone’s favorite politician, but you can’t deny how strong he has been, how moving this was, and how motivating this is in the movement of Americans standing up to and fighting against fascism!
I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.
