Took the munchkins to the Burwood red zone for their walk today. Lovely to see how mature the planting next to Anzac Dr, from about 11 years ago, is getting now. And also the lovely new bridge crossing Corser Stream, and the fab new natural playground in Brooker Reserve

Huge disparities in voting returns throughout Christchurch. This graphic just shows the differences in the wards that comprise the Chch NE/Ōrei ECan constituency. Citywide, Banks Peninsula at 31.58% has more than double the returns of Riccarton at 15.4%. Encourage a renter to vote today #nzpol

On Sunday this video wouldn't upload as it was just over the 100MB limit. So I've trimmed it just a wee bit. Tūna at Prestons Park Lake, Ōtautahi. They feel the vibrations from the boardwalk above and come out to see if you have any food for them

I have a very healthy population of NZ praying mantises in my garden, and I've seen them at almost all stages of life before. But this morning I woke to something I've never seen before - newly emerged babies on my cherry tree. I'm guessing they emerged soon after sunrise
