I'm using part of the holiday to catch up on my Gundam build back log. The Meeple only had one Guncannon left, so I had to get one while I could.

Built a Leo last night because I needed a simple kit to get back some skills. Seems like something always comes up, so I can't make the monthly build day at the game store. At least it didn't blow up like in the anime.

It's odd watching The American Revolution on PBS in 2025 because the Patriots went to a lot of trouble only for us to end up with a monarch

Really struggled to be social last night by flopping cards. Did not help that the place was packed because they were milking Magic players for all they are worth. One of the Magic events kicked off at 9:00 pm. when our weekly game is usually wrapping up.

Well, my birthday did not go according to the cunning plan. Work should give me the time to do something instead of 10 hours of stuff first shift didn't want to do.

I seem to have horrible Lorcana luck as Dead Elf went out of business, the Scott's crowd stopped showing up on Saturdays, and Your Local Game Store is more tournament practice than flop for fun. Working second any mid week play is impossible.

My grand uncle died, but it feels like I lost him to Fox News a long time ago. I can't remember the last conversation that did not involve something crazy he saw on the channel. Or when he did not have to rush home because my mother doesn't have cable.

Found out a grand uncle is in end of life care. We were close when I was young, but he got so addicted to right-wing media that he could not stay long for a family dinner. More like a stranger now than a relative.

No amount of jingoism can cover up the feeling that we are on the list of fallen empires. I just thought the end would be the wear down from a war instead of drowning in stupidity and incompetence.

Thom Tillis got so tired of the MAGA crap that he decided screw it I'm not running for Senate again. I'm just waiting to see if Mark Robinson will crawl back out of the woodwork to run for Senate.

People freaking out about the nominee for New York mayor. But election after election of things not getting better except at the top I can see why voters wanted more than the same old.
