The world is turning to shit before our eyes so I think it's finally time to abandon restraint and just embrace, and embody, the rage.
epic! reminds me that I need to get mine redone - it has not aged well since it was first done here back in 2012

Interview with the Vampire
by Anne Rice

3.5/5 - I'm glad I read this, it has a lot of interesting things to say but I got really bored about halfway through with just how long winded and verbose the narrator is. It felt like reading Crime and Punishment (backhanded compliment).

#Read25in25 Book #4

The Secret History
by Donna Tartt

4.5/5 - Fantastic book, it grabbed me and didn't let go. The structure of the story served it well, the inciting incident occurring around the half way mark but spoken about right at the beginning and a slow burn up to the event. Ending = whoa.

You're totally right. They've also been around for decades, so best of luck with that!

The Night of the Party
by Rachael English

4.5/5 - Really enjoyed this. Main event happens a bit before my time but there were many nostalgia triggers from growing up in 90s Ireland. Good characters, good mysteries and reveals that surprised but weren't contrived. Loved it.

We Have Always Lived In The Castle
by Shirley Jackson

4/5 - I really liked this book, though I felt the ending let it down. I would have preferred more tension or ambiguity. I loved the creeping dread and the suspense and it felt timeless whilst also immersing me in its world.

#Read25in25 Book #1 - I started strong with this 900+ page behemoth:

Exodus: The Archimedes Engine
by Peter F. Hamilton

5/5 - great book, but only for those willing to undertake such a long read. It felt like a cross between Mass Effect and The Expanse, without feeling too derivative

ok folks I am officially FASCINATED by this ad on YouTube. Like that is CLEARLY not Graham Norton. I've reverse image searched it and found nothing, I can find no even remotely similar images when searching for arrests of him and the picture is so small it is difficult to tell if it is AI.

PBP, SD and SF will likely be getting my votes in Limerick City. I've been really impressed with Elisa O'Donovan as a Councilor, Maurice Quinlavin has been a consistent voice for the people from what I have seen thus far, and Ruairi Fahy has been strong in calling for socialist policies.
