It’d be very amusing to see Forest not getting qualified for the Champions League. I have nothing against the club and I actually like the manager but I passionately dislike the owner!

Folks at the @theguardian.com write poetry at least in my view considering English is my second language. #UCL

It’s a well known fact that we monitor a lot of top players for fun without any serious intention to actually sign them up. That said, I think Grav will be our first choice defensive midfielder for years to come and we only need a backup for a reasonable price so we can spend money elsewhere.

I hate to be nitpicking but I cannot stop thinking about how two news outlets report differently on the number of days that Gene Hackman and his wife had been dead for. by @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social @cnn.com.

I never get over the fact that Klopp didn’t win enough trophies because he had to compete with a state owned team with unlimited budget. He’s my idol and role model. Great leader and even greater human being. I sorely miss him but I’m glad he is not under immense pressure and looks healthy.

I’m proud to live in a riding that seems to have elected a liberal as the provincial member of parliament. I can’t pretend that I am not utterly disappointed with a majority mandate handed to the most corrupt premier in the history of the province. Disgraceful.

This is amazing. Title contenders have not been top of the table for even one day.
February 27, 2025 at 12:55 AM
Love this from @theguardian.com on Liverpool. The title is ours without a doubt.

If I were Klopp, I’d never last as long as he did. He competed with a financial powerhouse for years and came up short several times due to lack of investment in the squad by the owners. This is our best chance to win the league considering Man City are in the trouble.

We will get Real Madrid in the semis if we get to the semi finals. That’s not what I was hoping for but I acknowledge that we have to beat the best to win the Champions League.

This is how the table looked like at the end of last season. We finished with 82 points. We will finish somewhere close to that this season; maybe 89 or thereabouts. It shows that what we could have achieved of Man City had not broken every rule on the books for almost a decade.

I posted the video with a sarcastic comment. Rest assured that MAGA folks are indeed talking about DEI pilot (I made a joke about the airport CEO). These people are so predictable and they are the living proof that social media propaganda is working very well.

I’d rather be on the right side of the draw. I think it’d be a bit easier path to the final. #UCL

Luis Diaz is coming on! He had to play as a LW from the start!
February 19, 2025 at 9:10 PM
This may explain why we were off today specially in the second half. I hope we don’t lose momentum again much like we did a couple of times under Klopp. Squad tiredness is almost fully due to depth or lack thereof.
February 17, 2025 at 1:48 AM
Although we won today, I am starting to get a little nervous mainly because we didn’t really play well apart from brief periods in the first half. Just look at the stats.
February 16, 2025 at 8:11 PM
It’s ludicrous that we play Villa away on Wednesday and Man City on Sunday both away from home. If we have a 5 point lead after the Newcastle game, I’ll be super happy.
February 14, 2025 at 2:04 PM
Complete and utter domination. We played some great football in the first half. I don’t see how Spurs can make it to the final unless we really badly sabotage it ourselves.
February 6, 2025 at 8:57 PM
Interesting lineup for the game against Spurs. I trust Slot’s decision making in particular his in-game management.
February 6, 2025 at 7:03 PM
Liverpool stats are amazing but not surprising considering we are at the top of the table. But none of it matters in the Merseyside Derby. We all know that it will be a dogfight.

Mo Salah is now the sixth best scorer in the history of the Premier League. Extend his contract for two years and he will be second best scorer behind Alan Shearer. Overtaking Shearer seems out of reach unless he stayed for four years and played at this level all the way to his retirement. Legend.

Numbers never lie. Forest are playing Murinho style football. It is incredible that they are so high up in the table.
January 14, 2025 at 9:33 PM
I certainly hope that Mo Salah stays fit for the rest of the season otherwise we will be in trouble. He’s by far the most productive player up front.
January 14, 2025 at 6:47 PM
I think all the teams between Forest and Brentford have a chance of getting qualified for the Champions League. The title race is between us and Arsenal. Like I said last year when we fell behind Man City and Arsenal, it’s not over until it’s over mathematically.

Van den Berg is an example of football transfers where a big club hires a player, loans him out and cover his wages before he gets sold to another club for a profit.
