I'm thrilled to have two poems, alongside so many poets whose work I admire, in the latest issue of Smartish Pace.

Portuguese Snow Dog
Snow falling. A brown Portuguese Water Dog, fully extended in joyous romp, running laps around the backyard. Also visible: black spinning compost bin next to raised bed with tomatoes and peppers that were still holding on, as of yesterday.

Photo from inside book: Political Poem I spoke to an audience comprised entirely of gerbils about issues surrounding sunflower seeds and their distribution, and they were rapt, running as they were on their pointless wheels. I mentioned the wood chip shortage, and they stopped, and I could sense the tide turning against me.
