How do we combat this. First, yes, we should be careful in what we say, though there is no guarantee that would make us safe.

It's safe to assume that anyone who criticizes ICE will be deemed a threat and surveilled, essentially hoping that people will remain silent about the human rights violations of family separation.

It's risky, even life threatening. There is joy, but that joy is only apparent when you actually jump into the waters instead of just dipping your toes in. They feed us revolution aesthetic for the purpose of weakening true revolutionary praxis

And if we do see revolution, all it will be is temporary chaotic reform. It'll be those cis white leftists who tell you to follow them. It won't be truly marginalized that we listen to.

We have a lot to work on ourselves before we can even begin to think about revolution or class consciousness. Our search for saviors is a distraction from working on ourselves so we can have revolution. And the more we don't work on ourselves, the less likely we are to see revolution

We look for more Luigis, we look for more celebrities to tell us what to do. We fail to do the hard work of revolution and class consciousness. Not to mention, we still haven't begun the work of dismantling our racial caste system. We're still ableist in our refusal to mask up.

Electoral reform is only viable if the state deems it necessary, and it would only be to the benefit of the state. And with fascism in power, we may see that electoral reform gear toward their benefit
