It's funny, how much I can hate going to do something only to be really happy once I'm doing the thing. I guess the prep time is the worst really. I think that's a large reason why I'm trying for a remote job. I can skip the parts I hate like getting dressed. Just log in and do.

Started collecting my ingredients for Thanksgiving. Giving two recipes in my new cook book a try at once. Did already substitute one item. Was having trouble finding the gourds I need. I'll be looking for the right ones next time, but the ones I nabbed should taste good ^.-.^

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

I've become a fan of slow roasts. Sure they take forever, but it's just so delicious when done. The veggies get the same spices and are so soft too. Wish I didn't eat so fast. Still have more for later and reheating it still tastes great.

I love cooking, I'd make it my career if I could handle it. Still a rather fun hobby, especially when I can combine games with it. Got the unofficial Zelda cookbook recently and plan to gather the ingredients for two recipes for this year's Thanksgiving. I'm thankful to still be alive this year.

Glad seeing my Best Friend slowly start living again. Guess it's my turn to do the same. Gotta log on to the college website, and find out what books I need now. I might be moving downstate but not the direction I originally thought. Who knows what my future holds, maybe it's time to rebuild now.

Thought that's been bugging me today; saying "we're just friends" when asked about whether the nature of your relationship to someone is romantic/sexual or not sort of implies that friendship is a lesser form of relationship than a romantic one, and that bothers me in ways I can't quite articulate.

The elimination of the filibuster at the start of the Trump administration would be the most disastrous thing to happen for trans people federally.
The policies it would usher in would make what we've seen the first 11 months feel like a cakewalk.

If they eliminate the filibuster, it means national bans on gender affirming care, bathroom bans, a sports ban, gender marker bans, elimination of legal recognition etc. It will make life unlivable for trans people in the US, even in blue states. It's a worst case scenario.
