This Daisy hat is from Workbasket Magazine April 1983. I know it doesn't look too bad this top down photo but it was very very big. I think the pattern had a mistake in increase directions. I ended up ripping it apart to reuse what I could. #Crochet #Crochetsky #Craftsky #Workbasket

Vintage hat pattern from 1971. This is from a pattern book put out by the Jack Frost Yarn Company. It was a little too big with the suggested hook size. It kept falling down over my eyes. #Craftsky #Crochet #Crochetsky

Another vintage hat pattern. This is from Columbia Minerva Teach Yourself to Crochet from 1972. This was cute but a tiny bit small and I don't have a large head. It was more of a brimmed hat than a bucket hat. #Crochet #Craftsky #Crochetsky

I love the little projects that I can give away when I travel. #Craftsky #Crochet #Crochetsky

I made this for my blog's year of vintage hats. It's a baby hat from a 1978 Workbasket Magazine. #Crochet #Workbasket #Crochetsky #Craftsky

This was the cutest crocheted sweater. It was in a 1994 issue of Crochet World Magazine and it received a first place ribbon at the fair in 2022. I gave it away to someone at work for their toddler to wear. #Dragon #Crochet #Crochetsky #Craftsky

I made these pot holders for the 2022 county fair. They are from Woman's Day Granny Squares No. 3, 1975. The brown bled into the border a little but they still got a first place. #Craftsky #Crochet #Crochetsky

This is a dress/swimsuit cover up I made for the county fair last year. It's from a 1970s booklet by Columbia-Minerva called Afghan and Fashion Collection. I used Lion Brand ZZ Twist to make it. #Crochet #Craftsky #Crochetsky

Another hat made from Strawtex or HiStraw. This was from a Bucilla booklet. I gave this one away to a family member. #Crochet #Craftsky #Crochetsky

Back to vintage hat patterns. I made two hats out something called Hi-Straw. It's a polypropylene type of raffia. Not super easy to work with but it does make a cute hat that can be blocked. I found the Hi-Straw on Esty. #Craftsky #Crochetsky #Crochet

A break from the hats with this beautiful scarf I made. I altered a pattern called Tyger by Sara Kay Hartman for the final shape to be one long strip. The yarn is Araucania Botany Lace in Hunter. #Crochet #Crochetsky #Craftsky

This was an unusual hat. It's from 1970s "In Fashions For Him For Her" that has both knit and crochet patterns. My version turned out a little smaller but it still mostly fit. #Crochetsky #Crochet #Craftsky

This is one of the hats I wear occasionally for garden work. It's from McCall's Crochet It 1969. I used Lion Brand Cotton-Ease 60/40. #Crochet #Craftsky #Crochetsky

Another 70s hat. This one is from Workbasket Magazine August 1973. This one technically fit me but the style is one I can't see my self wearing. It gives off 1970s eccentric old lady vibes and I just don't have the right caftan for it. #Crochet #Crochetsky #Craftsky

Another from the 1978 booklet Caps, Hats and Helmets. This is a Cluster Stitch Cloche. Cute but still hurt my head. You can see in the magazine photo that it wouldn't work that well with glasses. #Crochet #Crochetsky #Craftsky

This bobble hat was in a 1978 booklet called Caps, Hats and Helmets. This was really cute but pushed my glasses into my head. #Crochet #Crochetsky #Craftsky

This turned out to be my favorite hat and I still wear it all winter three years after I made it. It doesn't squeeze my glasses against my head and give me a headache. From the same 1970s book as the last hat. #Crochet #Crochetsky #Craftsky

2022 was the year of the hat. This was one that worked out ok but I didn't end up keeping it. #Crochet #Crochetsky #Craftsky

This puzzle ball pattern is one of my favorite baby patterns. It's easy for them to hold on to and can use up scraps for multicolor balls. #Crochet #Craftsky #Crochetsky

I made this ski mask in my year of hats. The pattern is from 1978 and it's crushing my nose in this photo. You can see my nose peeking out. I gave this 3 out of 5 stars because it would be easy to adjust to a bigger size. #Craftsky #Crochet #Crochetsky

I intended to enter this into the fair in a baby category but it ended up being pretty small. I entered it into the doll clothes category instead. #Craftsky #Crochet #Crochetsky

One of my nephews was always really hard to make something for. One year my sister told me he liked fishing so I made him a trophy for when he couldn't catch anything. #Craftsky #Crochet #Crochetsky

I made the first of these in late 2019 and everyone wanted one. I ended up making around 30 of these in the following 6 months. #Crochet #Craftsky #Crochetsky
