Aila Särkkä and I defined a new species mingling index describing how plants of varying species are spatially mixed with others. The new index can effectively deal with species inequalities caused by recurrent neighbour species.

Went out to look at our Continuous Cover Forestry project sites at Svartberget today.

"The origin and beginnings of modern Continuous Cover Forestry (CCF) in Europe" written by Pommerening, Widman and Szmyt is out now. We describe how three separate tradition lines shaped modern CCF.
