The legal cannabis industry definitely wants hemp products cracked down on, I think. And crypto billionaires and cannabis investors are an overlapping population that seems to have access to serious lobbying power with this administration so idk.

School is a fraction of a real career engineer’s knowledge, so I wouldn’t even care if he had a degree in it. He’s never been hired for his technical expertise even once. He’s also said he earned the Physics BA from UPenn in 1995 but the university said 1997, so who knows what’s true from him.

Will also say: the chemicals and synthetic cannabinoids added by these manufacturers to mimic a THC high from the non-psychoactive hemp is very concerning.

Yeah and the hemp market is often manipulative advertising where people think they are buying legal THC. As someone who worked in the industry in California, I’m kinda shocked at this pushback. Seems like getting mad about banning that Feel Free opioid-lite drink from the gas stations.

We need to abandon this new modern left talking point that the big tech companies make no money. The ad-tech monopolies PRINT money. That’s why they can afford to put all this money into their AI products that often are *not* profitable (until they achieve some mythical monopoly or machine God).
