Dogs, walking in nice places and my boring/deranged thoughts! Now also banging on about my child. He/Him
Well, subsidised dentistry technically.

It's infuriating! When I bring it up with people they say "you'll need to get a private dentist".

Like yes I will, but I already pay for dentistry!

E.g. dentistry and doctors. More chance of flying my pig to collect some rocking horse shit than get an appointment for those.

Basically I went up Catbells one summer and was like "wow there's loads of other hills. Bet you could do some big walks" which was the beginning of it all. I then attempted, twice in one year, to do the massive Newlands Watershed in winter. Failed twice lol.

So now I'm thinking of doing the Newlands Round which is, for sentimental reasons, my favourite route ever.

Can't stop thinking of all the little floaty bits that would be in the glass. All the little bits that get stuck to your feet as you walk around.

Like... That is not my thing. Each to their own and all that, but no thank you that's plenty.

It's since her spay earlier this year that her weight has rocketed. Going to cut her food down again and see how she goes.

She has hardly any treats, I've cut her food down, she gets loads of exercise.

Basically I can't replicate the issue. I've stopped the server in every way I know how and the bastard indexer continues to work.

The difference being on my test server it starts with the user www-data and on the live server starts as the repository user.

I can't be aaaaaaaaaaarsed
November 13, 2025 at 11:32 AM
Maybe I am older and wiser now and will get it to work. Otherwise I have to spend the first part of my day visiting every repository and restarting the stupid thing manually.
November 13, 2025 at 10:47 AM
I'm sure I've tried to do it before and it just doesn't function.
November 13, 2025 at 10:47 AM
Think I need to add it as an Ubuntu service, but I'm quite sure that is not going to work.
