This is exactly me. Spent 12 years on all sorts of nightmarish visa journeys. I’m on ILR now and was due for a citizenship application this September but now I don’t know what I will be subjected to next. It is deeply frustrating and has cost me so many thousands of pounds and all of my 20s.

I saw this and I was like??? What “automatic” settlement and citizenship lol. I’ve been at this battle for 12 years, there’s been nothing automatic about any of it. It’s been an extremely expensive and anxiety inducing nightmare subject to constant rule changes
