The tip of the iceberg!

Yeah, I mainly use vscode for C# and Python dev. I will say, for both of those, definitely had a learning curve to get used to the setup, launch files, etc. I imagine C++ could have a nice flow, butttt....... there could easily be a mountain to climb to make it worth it. RIP!

Curious, what sucks about it to you? It's definitely not perfect, always interested in people's qualms.

You have some good points here, especially others wanting to view graphs etc, they just want to open an excel file. Now the mind is racing, what if it was super easy to just have the matplotlib plot embedded into the excel file which originated as a csv....

Not following... Most people use python for data manipulation and visualization due to being able to make changes, reuse code, and the faster human speed for coding instead of graphical software. What do you find to be more appealing in Excel?

Sweet! I was hoping you'd have a repo. Always love seeing how people make some great visuals. Very cool!

I am always telling people how many times I have googled the same lines of code, I love how this is such a shared experiences amongst anyone that has written software!

I appreciate you taking a look, and I can understand your point of view. We try to be active on the python reddits, especially learnpython, to give back to the community. I'll circle back to you once we have more general python content posted ☺️ Thanks!!

It's these kinds of post that make you wish you could response with the cry laugh emoji and not just the like/heart.

I'll have to check those out. We have been looking for a better way to do GUIs especially!!

Literally dealt with this yesterday. Sorted 3 dfs then combined them by simply adding all columns into 1 df. However, sort order wasn't retained. Had to reset the indexes before combining.

Nice! Plots look like Matplotlib and GUI was Tkinter?

We've seen a lot about xAI fund raising, do we know what their products will be at all? Seems nearly pointless to create yet another AI chatbot. Maybe just AI for Tesla? Idk, but would love it if someone else had some thoughts or insights...

The short man! The shorts are awesome. They touch many interests including dev, knowledge, and humor. Great job Thor!

This is debugging tip #1 shown on screen 8 of the install wizard. MS claims it to be your fault for not reading all available documentation.....

*Clearly I have felt your pain too many times...

The fonts and widths is a pretty solid point! However, what about when you start wanting more complex plots? My experience is much more in Python plotting than LaTeX. Can LaTeX handle doing 3d plots overlaying scatter plots with trend lines and surfaces? More curious than anything else!!
December 4, 2024 at 8:22 PM
For sure, in that case, doing some Matplotlib plots wouldn't be a challenge. And yes, but putting in figures with LaTeX is quite straightforward.
December 4, 2024 at 8:20 PM
I can see the appeal. I mean, if you learn some basic Python, I think it will yield dividends in other areas and is one of the easier languages to pick up.

But, if you aren't into coding at all, use the tool that works best for you! If plotting in LaTeX fills your need, use it!
December 4, 2024 at 7:58 PM
Most of the LaTeX peeps I know create their graphs using Python / Matplotlib and then paste those images into LaTeX. Any reason to do it in LaTeX natively?
December 4, 2024 at 7:48 PM
Saved this! Just learned about python in excel earlier this year. That could be really game changing!
December 4, 2024 at 7:43 PM
So true it's painful!
